Q: What is OnlineSurveys.com? A: OnlineSurveys.com is a market research panel that gives members chances to win cash and prizes just for answering surveys over the Internet. Various companies, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small Internet startups, hire us to find out what people think about the products, services and web sites they offer. We use our online surveys to help us answer their questions. Sometimes we may ask your opinions on a new product or service that is not yet available to the general public. Other times, we will ask you about a product or service that you may already use. Please be assured that all of the information you give us is kept completely private! A:OnlineSurveys.com panel members answer surveys in exchange for the chance to win great prizes, including cash. That's it! We will never try to sell you anything, and we will never ask you for anything other than your participation. And if you don't want to answer any given survey, for any reason, no problem. You'll still be eligible for future surveys. We do ask all panel members to answer survey questions as completely and as honestly as possible. A: Yes, OnlineSurveys.com is absolutely free to all members! We give YOU cash and other prizes for answering surveys; you never pay us anything! Q: What can I win through OnlineSurveys.com? Every new member is automatically entered in our New Member Drawing for one of two $250 cash prizes, given away four times a year. We also award prizes for every survey project - these may vary, but they are almost always at least $500 per survey, and are often over $1000! For more details on our prizes, see our Prizes section. Please note that all prizes, including the New Member Drawing, are currently only available to US members. Click here for more details. Q: How does the online survey process work? A: Soon after you join OnlineSurveys.com, you will receive a welcome email confirming that your name has been added to our member database. When you get this email, you will know that you have been entered in our New Member Drawing! (The welcome email will also include some of the following details about our surveys. You may want to save it in case you have questions later.) You will receive a message via email when you are selected to take part in a survey. We select qualified panel members at random for each one. (Sometimes the selection is based on information you provided in the sign up survey. For example, if our client is interested in the opinions of people in New York, and you live somewhere else, we will not waste your time by inviting you to take part.) To take the survey, just click on the link in your email invitation. When you click on the link, the first page of the survey will pop up on your screen automatically. If you don't want to take the survey, no problem -- just delete the invitation. We'll still keep you in mind for future surveys. An average survey will take 10 minutes or so to complete, and the questions are usually easy to answer. Companies are basing important business decisions on your advice, so please answer each survey as completely and as honestly as possible. By completing any survey, you are automatically entered to win a prize! For each survey, your email invitation will tell you what you can win. (You cannot get more chances to win by answering the survey again, so please complete each survey only once.) All surveys are confidential. The information you provide will never be associated with your name or email address. Our clients are only interested in looking at the information from all participants combined; they will not look at your individual responses. If you don't receive survey invitations right away, don't worry -- you are still in our database and eligible to participate. A: If you win, we'll notify you via email. (This is why it's important to provide your correct email address in every survey you take.) (We do not list prize winners on our web site without their express permission!). Q: How can I take a survey? A: When you are selected to take a survey, you will receive an email invitation for that survey. Currently all of our surveys are by invitation only. (For each survey, we select qualified panel members at random, and the qualifications needed are different every time. Sometimes qualifications are based on information you provided in the sign up survey, such as your geographic location or age. Other times we may simply make a random selection from the panel.) Q: How often will I be asked to take surveys? A: Since the selection is made randomly, it's difficult to predict how many surveys any one panel member will be asked to take. A typical panel member may receive a few invitations a year. Others may receive more or fewer. It's rare to receive more than one survey invitation in a four week period. Please remember that you don't need to take a survey if you don't want to. If you prefer not to take a survey you have been invited to, simply delete your email invitation. You will still be eligible for future surveys. Q: After I've been asked to take a survey, how much time do I have to do it? A: Each survey is available for a different amount of time, so it's difficult to predict how much time you may have to answer any one survey. Most surveys are "open," or accessible, for at least two days, and some are open for up to two weeks or even longer. How much time you'll have will depend on how fast our panel members respond -- as soon as we have enough responses, we close the survey. If you plan to take a survey you have been invited to, you should try to do it soon after receiving the invitation. If you click on the link to a survey after it has been "closed," you may receive a message telling you that you cannot access the survey. Q: What if I can't or don't want to take a survey that I am invited to participate in? A: No problem! If you prefer not to take a survey, for ANY reason, simply delete the email invitation. You don't have to tell us why. You will remain eligible for future surveys, and your likelihood of being selected for other surveys will NOT be affected. Q: Can someone else signup at OnlineSurveys.com using the same email address I provided when I joined? No. Membership is currently limited to one person per email address. If more than one person fills out the same email address in the sign up survey, we will only accept the first person as a member. Q: Will you or anyone else contact me about anything other than OnlineSurveys.com? Never. Please be assured that all information we gather about you is strictly for internal market research purposes. The only communication you will receive from us will be your welcome email, survey invitations, and answers to any questions you may have. Of course, we will also notify you if you win a prize!
